Terms of service
Last updated: September 30, 2026
These terms apply between you and us, for the use of the Gymara app. You accept them when you set a password on the invitation your gym sent you.
What Gymara is
Gymara is the app you use to enter the gym, see your membership and check-ins, and keep a personal diary of workouts, meals and weight.
The gym gives you the account
An account is not opened from the app. The gym signs you up and sends an invitation to your email, and you set a password. One email address is one account, and that account follows you across every gym that uses Gymara.
What you are responsible for
- Your password. Do not share it, and tell the gym if you think someone else knows it.
- Your QR code. It identifies you at the door, it is not a pass to lend out. Someone entering on your code is between you and the gym.
- The data you enter. If your phone number or email changes, tell the front desk.
Your relationship with the gym is yours
The price of a membership, how long it runs, the rules for pausing it, refunds and the right to enter are set by the gym, not by us. We only show what the gym entered.
If the gym deactivates your profile or cancels your membership, the app will show it, but the reason and the fix are with the gym.
Nothing is paid inside the app
Gymara has no payments. You pay the membership to the gym, the way the gym decides. The app does not take money, does not store card details and does not act as a payment intermediary.
The diary is not medical advice
The weight, meals and workouts you record are your own notes and nothing more. Gymara is not a medical device, does not diagnose anything and does not give dietary or medical advice. For that you go to a doctor or a nutritionist.
What you may not do
- Use someone else account, or hand yours to someone else.
- Try to get around sign-in, entry control or any limit in the app.
- Pull data out of the app in an automated way, or load it so heavily that it gets in the way of others.
- Send abusive or unlawful content through suggestions and problem reports.
Availability
We do our best to keep the app running, but we do not promise it will never be down. Maintenance, a provider outage or the internet at the gym can take it out for a while.
If the app is down, the front desk still gets you into the gym.
Ending it
You can delete your account yourself, from the app, at any time. Deletion is permanent, see the privacy policy.
The gym can deactivate your profile at that gym. That does not delete the account and does not touch other gyms.
We can cut off access to an account that breaks these terms, after telling you, except when damage is happening and we have to act right away.
Liability
You use the app as it is. We are not liable for damage caused by the app being temporarily unavailable, nor for the gym decisions about your membership and your entry.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not let us exclude.
Changes to these terms
If the terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them, and a big change we will announce in the app. If the new version does not suit you, you can delete your account.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia.
